Architecture shoot preview

Detail
This photo goes with detail, because it has a really good detail, and it really gives detail to this building, and brings it out, to show how it really  looks up close.
Light
The light in this building, really lets you see the building. If was no light inside the building, you would not be able to see how the building looks. The light also really gives it some good effect.
Patterns
This building has patterns going from right to left.  Its just the same thing in the whole picture, except the guy in the left.

Shapes, angles
This building has a weird shape, it looks like a big bubble or ball. with all of these circles on it. The picture is also taken from the bottom of the building.

Surroundings
The surroundings in this picture, really makes the whole picture balance out. The building doesn't stick out, because of the water, trees, and grass, and it is still ht main subject

Sports/Action more details

1.
Travis Haughton
 Picture Stories

Problems - Back of the head, pictures that don't say anything, and not showing the rest of the body, or head.
Likes -  the picture with the gymnastics place, and a good photo that shows what the photo is about, like the baseball photo where the guy was trying to get the ball
I thought it was alright, because some pictures were good, but a lot were not, because they did not show the body, or they did not show what the picture was about.

Carlos Delgado
Picture Story
Problems - Background, back of the head, the story not showing enough
Likes - there wasn't really anything that they liked about this portfolio.
I didn't really like this one because of the background, and things that would interfere with the picture, like covering other people or things that are coming out of the people.

Jordan Murph
Sports, stories
Problems - bad  lighting, photo not saying anything, things growing into the photo
Likes - The lighting, and the color
I liked this one in the beginning, because of the light and the color, until the end because the lighting went bad, and the pictures didn't say anything.

Justin Mott
Stories
Problems - Focus, portfolio building, and some pictures didn't tell anything, and didn't show enough
Likes - Point of view, Emotion in photos
I liked this one cause of the point of view, and the story, and the emotion.

2.Dustin Snipes
The judges liked the color, and the way everyone was doing something, and it was all a good moment.
I really liked it, i really liked the color, and the moment, and i do not think there was anything bad.\

3.Recap Video
They just went through all of the portfolios, and they just talked about who they thought was good, and what was bad about them, and how good the winner was.

4.
I agreed with the judges on the boxing picture, because it had good action, and the foreground was good, but the referee looked like he was about to fight to, and it kind of distracted the picture.
I didn't agree with the judges on the picture of the rugby, because i didn't really think it was that good it just showed a guy sticking his finger in a guys eye.

Happy, Akins, Building

I think this is an excellent example of happy, because it is a student that is really happy to be at school, and ready to learn! I think this photo has really good color, and the student is placed in the right place, in the right side of the photo I think I really took a good picture.
I think this is a good example of Akins, because it shows you how good, and creative we are, and how much we care about this school, by showing other people what we do here in one of our academies. I really think the eagle is good in the middle, and it has good color, but it kind of cut off the words, so that kind of messed it up, but I still like it.
I think this is a really good example of building, because it shows how nice and clean it looks inside Akins. I think the depth of the hallway really makes it look cool, and some of the people in the background makes it look cool, and I really like the lighting. I think a took a good photo

Japanese Earthquake

When i look at this photo, i feel really bad, because of all of the things that these people have gone through from all of the destruction that the earthquake and tsunami has done and we are just here not having to worry about anything like that. The photographer used depth, because you can see the mountains in the background.

This photo makes me feel really sad, because of the girl that is crying in the street, because of all of the destruction the earthquake has done to their houses, and they have no place to live now. The photographer used depth, because you can see all the destroyed building in the background.

Touching People

1. I think it is really cool just having people that do not know each other to be in a picture together, even though it would be kind of weird to touch a random person you do not know, its like a different kind of art, its a stranger portrait.
2.If somebody asked me to do that, i would feel kind of weird, but i would do it, because its kind of cool, because its different.
3. I think an unusual shoot would be having different people, like a poor person with a rich person take a picture together, because they do not really go together, that would be kind of cool.
4.The photographer just took portraits, with all of the people in the middle of the picture, and he did use good lighting, and good plain backgrounds, and sometimes if there were a lot of things in the background that would distract the person from the picture, he would blur it out so it doesn't distract.

Advertisements ideas

This ad was my favorite because they are using their hand to make some guys who are from the united kingdom, that do no move at all, and do not make any noise.
This would convince me to buy an at&t phone, because it says it works in over 200 countries, which means it works in alot of places.

#13 LIFE Special Edition (1969)
This LIFE special edition To the Moon and Back chronicles the first moon landing, brought about by the courage of the Apollo 11 astronauts and the thousands of people who supported their mission. On the magazine cover is a picture of Buzz Aldrin, taken by fellow astronaut Neil Armstrong. Along with color photographs of this historic walk on the moon, there are biographical sketches of Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. There is also a history of manned space exploration from the first single orbit around the earth orbit to the launch of Apollo 11.

The portrait on the cover shows he magazine name witch is Life magazine, and it shows an astronaut on the cover of it, and he is on the moon, and i really like this photo because the astronaut looks really cool, and the moon in the background looks cool, because Ive never really seen how the moon looks that close, and also you can see the ship and everything else that is in front of him, by the reflection in the astronauts helmet.
The thing that is being told in the photo, is that people from Apollo 11 have gotten on the moon for the first time ever, and it shows that by showing the astronaut, and the moon.

Types of magazine covers

1.Early Magazine Covers
Almost always paintings, tended to be ethical, morals, religious.
2.The Poster Cover
One big picture, no border, subject is really clear. Text does not distract the photo at all. Really great photo, or really recognizable.
Disadvantages: NO entry points, risky
3.Pictures Married to Type
The words help the photo, the words don't interfere with the photo.
Advantages: You can see the photo better, doesn't distract, the words and the pictures go together, the words go with the photo.
Disadvantages: don't know what else is in there, very few entry points in the magazine.
4.In the Forest of Words
Tons of text on the picture.
Different colors, Different Fonts, Different sizes, everywhere there are words.
Advantages: lots of entry points, lots of visuals
Disadvantages :Too much to look at, covers your photo

Magazine cover ideas

1. Never trim a printout, mount it beautifully, and display it with its alternates on the finely polished surface of the conference-room tabl
2.If the cover pops out from its background, don't weaken it by fussing with it.
3.If its is invisible like wallpaper, decide what elements worthy of becoming dominant.
4.A magazine is first and foremost a physical product, so experiment with it as such and be sure to make the the most of its capabilities.
5.Make a cover that will make people want to look inside of your magazine.

Portaits and Self Portraits Tips

Tips.
1.Blankly staring at the camera rarely gets good results.
2.The settings in which you make pictures of people are important because they add to the viewer's understanding of your subject.
3.One way is to frame an interesting composition and then, with your compact camera mounted on a tripod or another means of support, use the self-timer (if your camera has one) to trip the shutter after you get into position in front of the lens.
Environmental Portrait
I really liked this environmental portrait, because of the background, i really like the mountain in the back, it really gave the picture the depth, and the guy is using rule of thirds. The only bad thing about the picture is the people behind the guy, but it is still really a good picture.
i really liked this photo because of the color in the sky, and the clouds, and the depth of the trees in the background, and i really like the cranberries, that are almost everywhere in the picture, and the guy is using rule of thirds.
Selfportrait

i really liked this photo, because i has a plain background, and nothing is distracting me from the subject, and because the guy is superman.
i really like this photo because it has a plain background, and the guy is wearing a black shirt, which goes with the background, and it doesn't distract you from looking at anything else, and also the camera looks cool, and it makes you think that he is a photographer.
Casual
i really liked this photo, because it is really casual, and there is nothing that distracts you, there is only a business man standing looking cool.

i really liked this photo because it is casual, and there is nothing that distracts you from the subject.

I will just ask people if they want to have there picture taken, and i will try to take the best picture of them, and having it in focus. I will take pictures around the school, like outside for a environmental picture, or in a mirror, or just in the school building. To make the shoot successful i will make the pictures in focus as best as i can, and i will have the right aperture, and i will try to zoom in on the photo, if it should be zoomed in

Welcome Back!

This was one of my favorite pictures, because it just looks really cool how they took that picture at that angle, and how the water really looks, from under the surface.
This was another one of my favorites, because the color of it, and the shadows, and the mountains, and the clouds, and the building in the middle,  it really makes the picture look really cool, and amazing.

This one was another one of , favorites because its so amazing how it looks with all of the little water drops on the fly, and because you can really she the fly up close, and its really hard to get a picture that close without the fly moving.
