5.5a.rule of thirds - An image that is divided into 9 parts and the subject should be be aligned with the points in any section so that it can give the picture more tension, and energy, and it draws more interest into the picture.
5b.Balancing Elements - making photos look balanced, by balancing other things with the picture to make it look more better, like putting the same weight on each side.
5c.Leading lines - lines that are in an image, that leads the eye to another point in the picture, and there are a lot of types of lines, like straight curvy, zigzag, and it gives the photo more composition.
5d.symmetry and patterns - having the picture with a lot of the same things across from each other is symmetry, like windows or a door, its like drawing a line right down the middle of the picture and having the exact same thing on each side. patterns is like having something getting bigger and bigger, or getting smaller, like stairs, and these pictures give us interest.
5e viewpoint - viewpoint give the photo great composition, and they are usually taken from above, or from the ground, from the side, or from the back.
5f.create depth - creating depth give the picture depth, like taking a picture in a Vally with all of this mountains in the background, foreground, and middle ground, and it just keeps going, and you can see each mountain, and maybe it can have clouds to give it depth.
5g background - Background, is giving a picture a boring background, or plain background, so that you can focus more on the subject. If the picture has an interesting background then you would focus more on the background.
5hframing - framing is giving the photo a frame, which draws your eyes to the main point of interest, like maybe putting trees around the picture and having a animal in the middle.
5icropping - cropping is cutting out things from the picture that are not important to the picture, to show the subject, like it the subject is really small and there are a lot of other distracting things around it, so you cut out all of those things,

Abandoned Theme Parks
1.The amusement park that i would like to visit is the Takakanonuma Greenland, in Hobara, Japan. I want to visit this park, because it really looks cool, because the rust on the roller coasters, gives pictures that are taken there really good effects. The other thing that is really cool, is the fog, and it gives the photos really good effect along with the rust.
2.Takakanonuma Greenland
3.Six Flags Over Texas, South Park Meadows, Sea World, Schlitterbahn, Six flags fiesta Texas.
4.Six Flags Over Texas
5.I think it would be fun document this place, because some of it is really old, like the rides, or the buildings, and the entrances when you are going to get on a ride are old. When i went there a couple of months ago it was really dark, and it was raining, and i think it would have been really cool to take pictures on that day, because it would have gave the pictures really good effects.
6.I think it would take somewhat of a lot of money to travel there, like for gas when you are driving there, and I would have to buy some new film for my camera, and I would need food, and to get into the park I would also need to bring the camera for the pictures, and maybe I would need to bring another camera, just in case some thing happen to the other one, and I would also need to bring a bag for the camera, and I would need to bring enough film for however many photos that i am going to take. With all of those things, I would be ready to go.

My First Print
1.The student is in sharp focus, because you can see him very clearly, and you can see what he is doing, and the tables are in sharp focus, and the hands coming in from the right of the picture are in sharp focus.
a.The student is in focus, the tables are in focus, the hands are in focus, the things that are not in focus is the person in the background, and the other chairs in the background.
b.They are not in focus, because they are not important. The thing that is important, is the subject which is the student working, so the other things that are in the background are not the subject.
2.There is good contrast in the photo, the whole photo is all mostly in black and white.
3.All of the rules are followed in the photo.
a. The photo has action, by the student writing on his paper with his pencil. I used some of the rules of photography, like rule of thirds, because the student is in top left corner, and it has leading lines, because the edges of the desks are leading to the student. The photo shows academics, because the student is working on an assignment, and he is writing on a desk, and he is really focused.
4.There is no yellowing, or spots on the photo.
5.There are no print rings or spots.
6.yes my negative, contact sheet, test strip, and print are stored in my photo.

Portraits and Self Protraits
Self Portrait
Professional Portrait
The Things that make a good photo, is good color, because it really makes the picture stand out with a lot of bright colors, dark colors kind of make the picture boring. Changing some of the effects also makes the photo look better, because it makes the photo look cool, like changing the color, or contrast, or brightness. Using the rules for photography makes the photo really good, like rule of thirds, lines, mergers, patterns, or framing. These are all of the things i would use to make my photo.
I would do a professional photo, and i would put all of these things in my photos.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics
1.
A.It was the first day of April, which is April fools day in the United States. In Israel there was a photographer, and his photo had been put on the newspaper, and the photo on the newspaper was edited, and it wasn't the real photo that he took.It also talks about a Los Angeles Times staff Photographer who had gotten fired for changing some things from a photo, and he had been a award winning 20 year news veteran. The Rest of the story talks about other people who had submitted manipulated photos, and investigators have found 79 manipulated photos so far in the year, and it is an appreciated amount of violations.
B.I think it is unethical, because you are giving out a photo to a lot of people that is not real, and people are going to think that it is real, and these people are getting money for these photos when they are not real, so these people really deserved to get fired for what they did.
2.
A. Think this is unethical because the Newsweek magazine used the original photo for their cover, and they did not change anything, and the Time magazine used the same photo, but they changed the color of the picture, and they put a faded frame around it, and it really looks different from the original.
B. I think this is the least unethical photo, because you can not tell that the teeth are different, but they are, and it is still bad for the person, and it is wrong, but you cant really tell the difference, also because the other photos photos were more unethical than this photo.

Negatives Evaluation
1.I think that all of my negatives turned out well, none of them were bad.
2.None of them, because they all turned out well, so all of them will turn out well.
3.This photo will turn out the best, because it is in good focus, and good composition, and it is not overexposed, or underexposed.
4.I think all of the aspects of photography are present in the photo, because it is very clear, and the lighting is very good, and the composition is very good.

Drug Cartels In Mexico
I think that the things happening over there are really bad because there are a lot of people being killed right now, and those people have families and now their families cannot see the person anymore. It said that in one week two students that go to college in El Paso were killed, and it said that since 2007 there are as many as 28,000 people that have been killed.
My favorite photo was the photo of the guy with the mask in the van, in the drivers seat, and the picture is gray.
the photographer use framing, because the window was the frame, and in the background was the guy with the mask, and there is another guy in the background.
This photo was my favorite because the guy in the mask looked cool, and the gray color really made the picture look cool.

Ethics in fashion photography
1.Her face was made thinner, and they made her neck longer, and they put a lot of makeup, to cover the marks on her face like the freckles, and they made her eyes bigger,a and they changed her hair.
2.No it is not acceptable to change their appearance, because it is not real, and they are lying to people saying that this makeup makes you look like this, and they put a lot of makeup people do not need makeup to make them look pretty.
3.changing their face more would be wrong, but this is already wrong to do, because it is not how they really look.
4.I think putting on a little makeup is okay, but i still don't think they should wear makeup because are pretty the way they look.Changing their face is wrong because you are making someone look like something they wouldn't look like, and it is fake.
5.Fashion photography is really changing things, almost to where it is fake, and it doesn't look anything like the person when they change you with the computer.
Photojournalism is taking pictures and not changing anything, except maybe the effects, you are just trying to take a good picture and not really change anything in the picture.
6.Fashion photography makes people in the reality want the things that they are advertising, like the makeup.
photojournalism makes people in the reality think about things in the world, like how the people took those pictures, and maybe the people are taking pictures to change the world,by telling them what the pictures are about, and whats wrong with them.

Post shoot Reflection
1.The challenges that i encountered, were using the technical aspects, because it always changed when i moved closer, or farther away from the subject, so i stopped in one place, until i had all of the things, to get a really good picture.
2.The aspect that i was most worried about, was the focus, because i didn't want it to be too blurry, or i did not want it to be too sharp, so i just fixed the focus, until it was really clear to see the picture.
3.I tried to use the rule of thirds while taking the pictures, so i tried to put the subject of the picture, in one of the frames in the corners.
4.Next time i shoot i would change all of the aspects, so that i can take a really good picture, that is really clear, and i will use more of the advanced composition rules that i learned.

What the pros are doing - Repetition
This photo is an example of repetition, because the chairs are all lined up and the monitors are lined up, and it just keeps repeating from left to right, and forward the thing that leads the to the repetition is the chairs all in a straight line, and it looks like it just keeps no going.
The three chairs are all repeated, and the computers are also repeated in this picture.
Lisa Simpson appears on television screens on a new Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 after its inaugural passenger flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia.
The tables are all lined up in front of each other, and they are repeated, an the cake is repeated on each table the thing that leads the eye to this is the tabled going diagonal.
Judges rate Alpine cheese in Oberstdorf, Germany. Jury members at the 5th Alpine Cheese Olympics rated over 700 kinds of Alpine cheese from all over the world.

American Soldier
2
A.The most powerful image was the photo when he comes back home from iraq, because you can see how happy he is to be back and to see his family, and you can see how happy the parents are to see their son, and nothing bad happened to him
B. The most powerful sequence of photos was the one of coming back from Iraq, because his family is really glad to have him back, and you can see that by all of the picture of them doing all of this fun stuff together, and his girlfriend is happy to have him back, because there are pictures of them having fun together.
C.These photos work together, by being in different sequences, like from the start when he was signing up, the he goes to Iraq, the hes training, and he gets his first mission, and it keeps going until he goes back home with his family.
3.
A. the verbs ar written in past tense
B.The captions enhance the photographs by telling us whats in the picture, and what he was doing, and thinking, or saying.
4.
a. Ian is tearing up a picture of his girlfriend, because he keeps thinking about her, and it makes him sad, in his room.
Ian is getting off the plane from iraq, and he is very happy to see his family, after all of the time he over there.
Ian is getting his head shaved, and it took the barber, less than a minute to shave Ian's head.
5.A. the videos enhance the photos, by us knowing how he feels to be over there, by his voice, or his feelings, that he has in the pictures.
B.videos are better than photographs, because you can see the people move, and you can hear them, and how they feel, like when he was signing up in the picture, you don't know how he feel about it, and in the video he tells you how it felt, and how it felt for the parents.
c.photos are better than videos, because its like you are stuck in time, and sometimes some photos can have different effects, and sometimes you know how the people feel by just looking at the photo, instead of watching, like in the photo with his mother crying, you can tell that she is very sad, and she doesnt want him to go.

Inspiring Picture ATPI Contest
The thing that made this photo powerful was the sky, because it makes the colors pop out, and you can see them a lot better with the sky. The content that is in the picture is the grass the straight pathway, the mountains on the side, and the clouds up in the sky. the sky gives the whole picture a lot of lighting, like the green grass, and the dark mountains. The pathway makes the picture a lot better, because its going right down the middle of the picture. the composition rule that this photo has is lines, because of the pathway, and it shows rule of thirsd, because of the mountains in the right hand corner.

Hurricane Ike
I think this photo best displays avoiding mergers, because it cuts out almost half of the boys body, and it cuts out most of the women who is crying. The reason i chose this photo was because of the composition. this photo was the best that represented avoiding mergers to me.
This photo represented lines, because of the three people are walking in a straight line, and because of the long bridge-like thing with the stop sign that they are walking on is straight, and because of the arrow that is next to the stop is a line that is going up. i chose this phot because of the composition. I thought i was the best photo that represented lines.

First Shoot
I did not like this photo because all it showed in the picture was some guys feet. Another reason was because it was kind of plain in the background, it just sowed a bookcase and a door. it would have been better if it had showed his face or his body .
I liked this photo because it showed a lot of things in this picture. It showed mostly all of the students in the picture. I also liked it because it had a lot of things in the background like the wall with all of the pictures that decorate the wall.

Avoding Mergers
the way this picture shows avoiding mergers is because the woman's face is cut out, and because it doesn't show her whole body, and it is cutting out part of the baby.
Balance
This pictures shows a coca cola truck that is balanced, because it is right in the middle of the picture and you know that is not going to move out of the picture.
Lines
This picture shows the destroyed building it has diagonal lines which makes it more dynamic because of how the bulding is leaning.
Simplicity

This photo shows the main subject which is the burning building and you can see it clearly because of the blue sky, and there is nothing else that is distracting you from seeing the burning building.
Rule of thirds

You can see the building in the upper right corner, which then shows all of the other buildings, and it shows all of the smoke going to the left of the picture, and it keeps on going out of the picture, and it shows all of the people on the grass looking at the building burning.
